Regent Chongqing
Designed by the internationally renowned interior design firm LTW, Regent Chongqing draws inspiration from the concept of layered Chinese courtyard architecture.
The design seamlessly integrates Chongqing’s mountainous landscape, urban character, and river scenery with cultural elements such as camellias, traditional summer cloth, stilted houses, roof tiles, industrial heritage, and chili peppers.
The hotel is uniquely connected to the film As Hard as a Rock, directed by Zhang Yimou.
The copper coin-style wooden screen, featured in several scenes, was designed by Mr. Liao Tianhong, Chairman of BILIDO CASA.
This iconic piece not only enhances the visual storytelling of the film but also demonstrates BILIDO CASA’s strength in custom hotel furniture design, craftsmanship, and innovation.

The copper coin-inspired screen by BILIDO CASA features an innovative composite structure, combining solid wood panels with a plywood core.
This design enhances both aesthetic appeal and structural stability.
Solid wood offers natural texture and warmth, but it is prone to cracking and warping when exposed to changes in temperature and humidity.
Plywood, made from cross-laminated wood veneers, provides excellent stability and resistance to deformation.
By combining these materials, the structure effectively reduces the limitations of solid wood.
As the solid wood expands and contracts with environmental changes, the plywood core helps distribute internal stress, minimizing the risk of cracking.
At the same time, its layered construction absorbs slight movements, improving overall durability.
This engineered design ensures strong structural integrity and impact resistance, helping protect the solid wood surface in daily use.
Through this thoughtful approach, BILIDO CASA successfully balances artistic design with long-term performance.

The culinary experience at the hotel is equally remarkable. Located on the second floor, Robbins Steakhouse is a renowned Black Pearl Restaurant, celebrated for its exceptional cuisine and impeccable service.
Beyond fine dining, guests are immersed in an elegant space crafted by BILIDO CASA. Natural wood textures blend seamlessly with refined finishes such as dark gold crackle paint and red antiqued paint, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that elevates every dining moment.

The guest room is inspired by Chinese aesthetics, with classical wooden screens serving as the visual centerpiece. The patterns are reinterpreted with modern proportions, creating a distinctive and contemporary style.
The handwoven carpet features ethnic minority motifs, showcasing traditional craftsmanship through intricate warp and weft techniques.
In terms of room furniture arrangement, the tables and chairs are crafted from natural wood with simple, smooth lines, preserving the wood’s natural texture and warm tactile feel. They complement the overall Chinese aesthetic, creating a leisure space that blends classical heritage with a modern atmosphere.

A window separates the hustle and bustle of the world, while a poetic retreat quietly rests between heaven and earth. The Regent Chongqing has become an iconic landmark of the mountain city, defined by its exceptional location, breathtaking views, refined service, and meticulously crafted furniture and interiors. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the city’s cultural heritage while embracing modern elegance, discovering the timeless beauty of Eastern aesthetics.
